We are seeking an Operations and Supplier Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in building and expanding our supplier discovery database, ensuring a robust and diversified supplier base to meet our strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the manufacturing sector, combined with strong operational and supplier management skills, to drive the efficiency and growth of our supplier network.

Responsibilities

Onboard New Suppliers:

  • Collect comprehensive supplier information, including images, videos, and company profiles.
  • Conduct thorough online and offline verification processes to ensure the quality and accuracy of our supplier database.
  • Develop and implement efficient processes for optimizing and expediting data collection.
  • Maintain and periodically update the supplier database to ensure its accuracy and relevance.

Database Expansion & Market Adaptation:

  • Strategically expand the supplier database geographically and across new categories/processes.
  • Identify and tap into emerging markets and categories for supplier base expansion.
  • Utilize various channels to source and verify new supplier data, ensuring a continuous pipeline of potential suppliers.

Supplier Coordination & Engagement:

  • Enhance supplier response rates and engagement through effective communication and collaboration strategies.
  • Work closely with suppliers to promote the brand and the value of our supplier discovery service, fostering long-term partnerships.

Strategy and Business Expansion:

  • Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Lead initiatives to adapt and grow the supplier base in alignment with evolving market demands and business objectives.

Team Expansion and Management:

  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of team members to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment, setting clear goals and expectations while encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team resources and workflows to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in meeting departmental and organizational goals.
